Why is the function of a hot forging machine simple yet important?
In the forging industry, we always find that hot forging machines are widely used. However, the functions of hot forging machines are not numerous. So, why are hot forging machines so important in the forging industry?
The manufacturers of hot forging machines say that hot forging machines can be considered the basic equipment in the forging industry. Although the structure of a hot forging machine is simple, forging must go through hot forging before other processes. This is because the main function of a hot forging machine is to help metals form a certain shape, and a certain shape is needed for further processing.
Common problems in operating hot forging machine equipment
The core of hot forging machine equipment is used for metal forming, so it is also called metal forming CNC lathe. Forging equipment is produced by applying pressure to metal, and its essential characteristics have a lot of energy, mostly heavy machinery equipment. The configuration of protective equipment ensures the smooth operation of the equipment. The following aspects should be noted when operating forging equipment. Operators have a sense of mission with an aspect ratio, understand the operation technology of the equipment, and non-operators are prohibited from operating on the computer. Before operation, the equipment to be used should be carefully applied, the equipment is well maintained, the protective equipment is complete, the clutch, braking system, and operating equipment are flexible, the fastening parts are not loose, the appliance protection grounding is stable, and the air intake system is blocked or there is less oil.
Before operation, safety protective equipment should be prepared, work clothes, shoes, and hats should be worn, and the braids of female workers should not be exposed outside their work hats. Common tools should be prepared, and the CNC lathe should be clean and the embryos should be placed neatly and balanced. Do not wear gloves during work, do not chat during work, concentrate, do not smoke during work, and do not step on the foot pedal power switch if the product workpiece is not in place. To prevent accidents, it is forbidden to place measuring instruments on the tables and clamshells of machines such as presses and four-column hydraulic presses during work.
Hot forging machine equipment achieves high and low temperature deformation of metals.
I. Metal cold deformation process
In the cold deformation processing of metal in molding equipment, only the work hardening effect occurs, and the deformation process without recovery and recrystallization phenomena is called cold deformation. Cold deformation occurs under conditions below the recrystallization temperature. After cold deformation, the strength index of the product increases, the plasticity index decreases, and the metal is severely hardened. To continue processing plastics, annealing is required to soften them.
II. Metal hot deformation process
For the deformation process of forging equipment above the recrystallization temperature and where the recrystallization rate is greater than the work hardening rate, that is, in the deformation process, the deformation process that eliminates all work hardening phenomena due to the overall recrystallization result is called hot deformation. This deformation process improves the plasticity of the metal, reduces the deformation resistance, and at the same time makes the metal obtain an equiaxed recrystallized microstructure after deformation. Hot deformation usually occurs within the achievable temperature range.
